As the publicity chair for my dorm, Simmons Hall, I created a variety of branding for our two main events of the year, REX (Residence Exploration) and CPW (Campus Preview Weekend). Our dorm is a very uniquely shaped building that is quite divisive: it often graces lists of both the best and worst looking buildings in Massachusetts, and is often a stop in architectural tours. (Fun fact: it is the dorm featured in the 2022 Black Panther movie, Wakanda Forever.) However, we're all very fond of it, and its culture is as vibrant and colorful as the rubber ducks that are our mascots, and as porous as the sponge it resembles. Based on those thematic elements, I created different logos and themes for various events over the years, which would appear on merchandise such as t-shirts, posters, and mason jars.
